One of the issues of working at home, is staying motivated. I am in the process of writing a new book on recycling or actually redesigning used and vintage jewelry. I worked on a design team for several years, surrounded by creative people. It was always so nice to get instant feedback on an idea. Working alone means I have to keep myself continually refreshed with visual input. Using the internet helps with some of that. Creativity knows no boundaries. And unfortunately it can come and go with bad weather, lack of sleep, family drama and any other thing that can take attention and focus from the work at hand. Wish me luck as I continue to plow through my project. Here is a pile of jewelry that I am sorting through for pieces that I can remake. I may be in over my head, I guess we will see.

Hi Deb!! I know what you mean about what can block creativity! But I know you can do this and I look forward to seeing the outcome!! Sometimes a brief break is the best cure...a walk in a park, a quiet place to sit next to the water, an art gallery...so many ways to break and yet be inspired. Keep us posted!!

I love vintage jewelry but never know what to do with it other than display it in jars in my room :)
I grew up in the era of Vintage Jewelry. When I was in college... I had a nice collection and changed my pin everyday. I have noticed lately how many ladies are wearing pins.
My sister, Sheila, has always worn a pin on her coat... and a silk scarf around her neck in the winter time.
It sure makes it easy to know what to give her for Christmas and Birthdays.

It sounds silly, but getting out and going shopping (or rather "looking") always inspires my creativity. And of course, we would love to see pics too! :D Good luck with the project.

Yes I do wear my pins. Kathy has given me some of my favorites. My grand daughter has started to collect pins also.
I have have a big collection of vintage jewelry. "The Thrift Store on 33" SLC has a big vintage sale every fall.
