Well I have felt pretty fortunate to have enjoyed really good health for several months, but it seems my luck ran out last week. Having the flu has not been a lot of fun and I have really missed blogging and all of you. Hope to be feeling better in a couple of days. I feel like it is time for Chicken Soup. I look forward to getting back to work soon.

So a friend of mine called and asked if I wanted to ride to Park City with her, sounded like a good idea. Away we went. The sky was a beautiful shade of blue, the sun was shining, snow on the ground, all a vision to behold. We were not the only ones enjoying the day. Every bus stop had a group of people with skis in hand waiting for a ride to the ski lifts. I was a little surprised by all of the visitors we had in the mountains, many with children. Spring Break! Fun in the sun on the slopes of the Utah Rocky Mountains. The tourists were is great spirit, those not in ski gear were wearing shorts and sandals. It was an interesting mix. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend wherever you are.

Wow it has been forever since my last post. How did this happen? I guess it is my turn for life to be crazy. First my daughter eloped and is staying with us until they close on their first home. And now my oldest son and his wife are having a baby, the economic status had put their fertility plans on hold. After several years of marriage the stork is planning on paying a visit. So now we have had a marriage, an upcoming birth and now tonight we have a death in the family. The circle of life contiues. Thank you for sharing my journey. Deb

I have been going through my bits and pieces, trying to figure out just what all I have lying around. Lots of buttons and old jewelry. I decided to try to card them so they would be easier for me to see as I choose the pieces I need right now. Thought they looked kind of fun.

Okay so March is not the typical wedding month, but the young are in such a hurry. I am sharing an idea that may help some of you down the road. I did a sweet inexpensive cake for another family wedding. Displayed on a crystal cake stand with a decorated cake knife, the cake made a nice centerpiece for the refreshment table.

They did it. The young are spontaneous! They didn't want to wait for all of the wedding plans, skip buying the dress, forget about the flowers. I have been gone all weekend. My daughter decided to elope. She went to Vegas for Nascar and came back married. When she called to tell us that they were getting married last night at 8 p.m. my whole family jumped in their cars and we started a convoy to Las Vegas. That was a six hour drive from here. We made it just in time. It was crazy but fun and they are so happy.
